I have been a patient there. I have always been treated with respect. I do say when u need to go to the emergency room it can be a lengthy wait. So don’t go unless you need emergency care.

“We don’t care “ that the general trend in Hackensack university hospital . They don’t answer phone call or sending email . All the phone call go to answer machine and if you leave your contact they call you back after 3 days ! When you go to doctor appointment they send you to the main lobby (30 prospect Ave ) then they give you map to walk 20-30 min to your doctor and they don’t care if your are thick or with child because “ we in HUMC don’t care” After you get to doctor office they will tell you “ sorry your are late, com... read more

What an appalling way to treat ER patients. Leaving an almost 90-year-old man in a bed in the hallway for 6 hours next to some other patient's spoiled food (which was never picked up and thrown away and there are bugs on the floor), ignoring patient requests for basic things like a visit to the bathroom or a sip of water, telling us the name of the assigned nurse right before she promptly went to lunch and never showed up? We were literally flagging down anyone who could help us because the staff did its best to ignore us. E... read more

Even tho I’m a employee here, the staff has been so caring and helpful. Every person that has come in to check up on me has taken the time to make sure all my needs have been met..

Friend in observation unit needs lumbar puncture. Today is day 3. Radiology seems too busy. She’s completely bedridden, lost use of her legs on Friday and in agony. Still no diagnosis, but needs lumbar puncture to confirm neurologist’s thoughts. Starting to loose faith in this hospital.

What a total and complete joke! Before I even start talking about the awful journey that my family had with Hackensack, I wanted to point out the picture below posted on a desktop computer in my father's room. This is a blatant lie. I would have to say in the six weeks we have been here with my dad, paitent experiance was not even on this hospitals mind. About 95% of the doctors and nurses we had to deal with were scum and need to be trained on customer service and also how to communicate with each other. I have too many sto... read more

They could actually do their jobs. What is the point of affiliating yourself with Palisades if you cannot talk to one another and find a DOCTOR??? My husband has a bacterial infection. Palisades think the source is the hip replacement. So they tell him he needs to find an orthopedic surgeon to "wash it" or replace it. Apparently, no one knows their staff wants to touch the case. In the meantime, they keep giving antibiotics which are not helping and keeping him in the hospital while we have to do their job and find a doctor.... read more
