I always viewed this hospital as the best one in the tri-state area. However, my most recent visit with a family member proved that this hospital is one of the worst hospitals in the state. We were put in a hallway for three days. We received little to no care. It was only after I repeated called or tried to track down a nurse or a doctor, did I receive any help. The worst part was we were not alone there were many patients being ignored and neglected through the ER in hallways. I would recommend going to Valley Hospital.
If you're sick, don't go to HUMC. The emergency room is a zoo. Very little consideration is given to the patient and the family. The staff cannot be bothered by questions or be asked for anything needed. The patient floors are so understaffed that the patient's needs are rarely met. great hospital, serious care. emergency room waiting time isn't so great , but small price to pay for good care.
Almost 3 hours in the emergency room. No doctor yet. Still waiting Thursday 5/16/19
My father is currently being treated for MDS and received a SCT in December. He’s in the hospital right now for some complications and I cannot say how thankful I am for the care he is receiving. The nurses and aides are especially amazing and my family and I don’t know what we’d do without them! Happy nurses week to all the amazing nurses that sacrifice so much to give peace of mind to families like mine❤️ You all are definitely not playing cards!!!
Excellent service, great staff - clean environment

Absolute worst experience of my life at HUMC. I waited on a gurney in the hallway of the ER for almost 3 days before they had a room for me. I will do everything in my lower to never return unless I’m a visitor.
