I have used H&R Block every year and never had problems until this year. I filed my taxes like I normally do but immediately got rejected. I get notes on why my taxes were rejected and how to fix the issue but it will not let me fix the issue at all. H&R Block told me it was a glitch in the system and I should try again in a few days. After a few days I saw my payment was takin out of my bank account for e-file with H&R Block, so I figured the website was fixed. I went back and it was still saying the same issues. I would have given zero star if there was an option for it. I filed my 2020 tax return thru them but It was never made available online for me to review. when I told them that can't review and want to use another firm they told me that I could do it but I would still owe them **************************************** to file thru them and now when I need it for filing 2022 return, it's still not available online and they are asking me to get it thru IRS since they can't mail me the paper copy. I filed my taxes at a local HandR block location in ** and decided to have my refund put on the Emerald **** that they offer for faster returns. I made a online purchase with this **** and it was declined but apparently there was a hold on the funds from the emerald ****. I have contacted the **** number on the back of the **** and spoke to 3 different people in customer service and asked for a supervisor each time as I am unable to understand the dialect of the workers and I have been hung up on each time! I filed my taxes with H&R block and they were prepared incorrectly, the office who suppose to help me resolved stop responding to my calls and emails. I have open several internal claims in the last 6 months, and nobody has called me back.

H&R block used to make it easy to put in your info ,if you have and idenafication number you can enter it with no problem social security does not have that and when you ask about that they will tell you how but want to charge you for it this is in free filing, they changed the format from last year.as a result i filed with turbo tax and had no problem.if they don't like people filing for free then they should not offer it

I received horrible customer service at the ********************** Shops ***************** in MD. I went to the office today to have my taxes prepared. After the preparer completed my report I was rushed to the front of the office for payment processing. And it was then that I noticed her putting a bunch of loose documents in an envelope. When I realized that the documents were my tax report I asked questions. H&R Block in ********** ******** is by worse one of the worst office's I have ever been in. I went to file my taxes and was told I would get back ******. They didn't know how to enter my **** in the system. Did not have a manager on site to even help. I had to tell them to delete my info out of their systems and I would go else where. Went to a total different place and am getting back over ********. I understand that tax businesses are busy but this was ridiculous. H&R Block LOST my 2020 tax return that they were supposed to e-file in April of 2020. They just dont know what happened to it. The *** never got it. It shows up in the branchs system, but corporate has no history of it.
