I joined a gym in my area that is covered by ABC Financial Services. I was told that my contract would end in 2 years and that I would not need to do anything to end my contract once time ran out. Even though I did not use my membership services for almost a full year I went ahead and continued to pay and fulfill my end of the contract. The policy of having to submit a cancellation in person AND in writing before they will stop billing you is ridiculous.Then, they also count that 'in person visit' as a reason to bill for another month because it 'may take another 30 days' to actually cancel your membership. It took me SIX MONTHS to end my contract at a gym in Hinesville, GA with ABC financial. I sent in my husband's military orders in July of 2016 with a message saying "Hi I would like to start the process to cancel my 24seven gym contract with military orders. We are leaving the area now and will not be by another gym so we can't continue service. Originally signed a contract for *** gym in West Roxbury MA a while back, and per the original contract that I signed I was only required to provide written notification to the GYM that I was using. *** change over to *****, I never signed any new contracts, but deductions kept coming from my account. I cancelled back in November, and still ABC financial continued to attempt to make unauthorized deductions from my bank account. I have been trying to cancel my gym membership because I have moved out of state for work. My contract contains a clause that states I can cancel my membership if I am able to provide "sufficient evidence of relocation." My Fiance and myself signed up for a Golds Gym in Brooksville, FL thinking we could use any Golds Gym in the world and specifically use Golds Gyms products. I am writing this review as they are joint partners with my gym in Las Vegas, EOS Fitness, handling their billing and cancellations. My membership with EOS fitness has always been on a recurring auto-draft, so I have never had problems with late payments that I have seen other customers complaining about.
