LOVES IT! How Can You Not?! – After being a gyu kaku regular, I hadn?t been to the one in Beverly hills for quite a while. I was surprised to see that they had a new decor considering all the newer built ones were looking much better than this one but now they are definitely on top. our waiter forgot my cocktail and I never cared to mention it and it was not on our bill. So that aggravated me because I was in denial that he really forgot so I just was over it. My favorite is the harami miso I always get 2 orders of that and ... read more

A Unique Dining Experience Ya see, they bring you the meat and you cook it at your table. It certainly makes things fun, but you probably don't get the best cooked meal this way. The miso salad is spectacular.

Fun times Everybody loves Gyu-Kaku. From the outside, it looks kind of like a hole in the wall establishment, but once inside it is definitely more refined. Cooking your own food is fun, but beware. You literally will cook your own food so it sort of ends up as well(and as sanitary) as you can cook. My friends love this place. I am a terrible cook, so this place scares me.

Fun for groups – We love going here. My husband loves the hirame miso and I love the bibimbop. It's a good idea to make reservations. It gets packed.

good time – I have had lots of other meals here, and everything I've tried is awesome. The wait staff is so friendly, very attentive too. I am a regular so I go there alot by myself and feel comfortable.

KOBE Beef!! MmMmMm... – Let me just start off by saying: you WILL come out of this place smelling like smokey marinated meat. I don't care if they use downdraft smokeless braziers-BBQ is BBQ. That being said...ladies- this is a small teeny tiny price to pay for awesomely delicious marinated kobe beef. I, myself, am not a huge fan of meat in general- but Gyu-Kaku's kobe beef is to die for!! I also enjoyed their garlic marinated kalbi (beef short ribs). Delish~* Oh!! Another perk of visiting the Beverly Hills location on La Ci... read more

Fun times – Just went there last weekend for a friends birthday dinner. We all had a great time. The food was good, our waiter was a little slow at first but he apologized and was up to speed after that. Prices are decent as well. I would recommend the tofu salad. Super yummy dressing.

great for friendly outings. – I took my boyfriend here for his birthday after coming here with friends a previous time. Had a great time on both occasions and would consider returning. The food is good and the service as well. It's a very casual atmosphere, but looks serious only due to the fact that it's on restaurant row. I'm sure there's better places, but the overall experience is good. however, (this may be from just that one couple) i wouldn't recommend a first date at this location. the atmosphere asks for people who ... read more

Another do it yourself place – A nice place for traditional Japanese charcoal BBQ. It?s a fun experience but cooking your own food is a lot of work! Besides BBQ they have other Korean food favorites. I'm a really fan of pickled vegetables! They have a pretty good variety of foods. A must try is the Enoki mushrooms BBQ on the grill in the foil pouch. Though the menu is fairly meat and seafood centric, they do have a tofu platter and lots of great vegetables you can BBQ.
