A Unique Dining Experience Ya see, they bring you the meat and you cook it at your table. It certainly makes things fun, but you probably don't get the best cooked meal this way. The miso salad is spectacular.

Average Honestly, Gyu Kaku is not the best place to have korean barbeque. Although it does have good meat, i don't believe that you get what you pay for. The amount of food that you get per plate is maybe enough for one or two people depending on one's appetite. The bill can get pretty pricey in the end, and if you drink alcohol, it will be even more. The service is average and the menu options are not very original. If you want korean barbeque for your money, i believe there are better places in korea town where you get wha... read more

Fun times Everybody loves Gyu-Kaku. From the outside, it looks kind of like a hole in the wall establishment, but once inside it is definitely more refined. Cooking your own food is fun, but beware. You literally will cook your own food so it sort of ends up as well(and as sanitary) as you can cook. My friends love this place. I am a terrible cook, so this place scares me.

Delicious Korean BBQ I love this place! They bring you well seasoned meat, shrimp and/or chicken and you cook it right at you table and the best part is they give so many sides to go along with it. Reasonably priced and would highly recommend.

Our favorite place in town – For sure our favorite place in town. There is a grill in the middle of the table and you cook your own food. Takes about 5min, it is super cool. Service is awesome, very professional, waiters are on top of it. Highly recommend going during happy hour (everything half off). The kids love this place, always bugging to go. Its the birthday choice for out teenager. If we go during happy hour we drop about $50 - $60 for the four of us (including 30-35% tip). J

Poor Food Standards. – I got FOOD POISONING here. You can't get sick from undercooked beef so it must be either their sanitation standards or improper food storage. I skipped lunch before I came, so it couldn't have been anything else I ate that day. On top of it all, the waiter insisted that we pay. I was too sick to know that. Otherwise I would've puked on him to make my point. Bad food and rude staff. F- in my book.

All the meat is nice and lean and the veggies are super fresh here. But the highlights are the spicy garlic noodles and the skirt steak -- crazy delicious. Not much of a wine or beer list (other than Sapporo and Asahi, which is fine), but they do have a few decent sakes. Surprisingly healthy!
