I am so thankful for Gundersen they saved my life. I had been dealing with my issue for 5+ yrs, everytime I went to my local hospital they would treat me for something else. I felt like the local hospital wasnt listening to all my symptoms, just what they wanted to hear. My daughter received exceptional care in the Emergency room on New Years Eve. The doctor, nurse and paramedic were fantastic.
Gundersen Health System has two amazing Child Life Specialist that we had today. Our young daughter had surgery and they made it so much easier for her to understand each step happening. Today the staff gave us such a terrific experience. Dr. Case was top notch. Thank you also to our amazing Surgical nurse Sandra Thill who made me feel 100x better knowing she would be in the operating room. Staff was wonderful and procedure went smoothly, but my son was rushed out of recovery to accommodate other patients. Outpatient surgery seemed to be overbooked.
I moved my mom here for cancer treatment after I felt she was getting sub-par care at her old hospital. It was the best move we could have made. 4 years after re-diagnosis, she is losing the battle, but not because they haven't tried everything they could.... she has had all kinds of complications and they have been there through all of them.
