My family have been going to the state part since the 70's. I've seen the growth and decline. We stayed 6/28 _7/5/2015,and here are my complaints 1) all interior door handles where loose 2)some porch rails show some rot 3)bats in the attic, we counted 115 bats in 30 minutes. They tell you they won't hurt you ,but what about the poop that they leave in the attic it will !! 4)the grass and weeds in the water behind the cabin ,makes it hard for kids to swim and see gators! I WILL NOT COME BACK.
This is a 3rd time camping here. We were very excited about coming back but didn't the pool used to stay open till 10:00? Closing the pool at 9:00 seems early, I thought I remembered it staying open till 10:00.
I think it's a big rip off r u kidding me $50 a night
Loved this place. Stayed for a week right before Hangout Fest. Beautiful Beaches. Very Big Campground. Nature Center, Pool were great! Every staff member were very helpful! Very Dog friendly also.
Love it. I live in Pensacola and the Gulf State Park is one of my most favorite places to visit. I particularly enjoy the annual Luau--can't wait for 2016!
I understand that the camera mounted on the pier house is privately owned. It has not been working properly for over a year now. Was wondering if the State could take over the ownership and maintain the camera. This seems like a great tool to advertise the beauty of our great pier and surrounding beaches.
Please fix the Internet and I will give you 5 stars. At Bear and Quail Roads there is nice hardware that just needs to be maintained. Currently there is no signal from the swimming pool repeater. All it probably needs is a reset due to the electrical outages during the thunderstorms. Maybe schedule a reset every morning.

We are headed to the park in late June. Just bought a camper so we are excited to be going and creating memories with our 2 sons who are by the way super excited about the trip. Will let everyone know how it turns out!!!
