Loved our stay at gulf state park..
i am among the ones that want to rate the park low as to keep it a secret! but this is such a gem. great place for family vacaction. i really don't like the park space being used by contract vendors for commercial uses. i sure hope they are sharing the profits with the park. the cottages need a little TLC as they are starting to show the wear and tear of constant use. I would volunteer to come for a week-end to spruce them up!

What a great place to vacation! We drove our motorhome down on a Saturday and stayed the week. The pool is huge and very nice; It has a splash pad for the younger kiddos. We stayed on the main road (Racoon Rd) in site 186. For whatever reason site 186 comes immediately after 123....go figure. Full Hook ups are available and adequate. Only reason I couldn't give it five stars? 2 reasons. The marked speed limit is 15mph....people drive much too fast on this main road!
