I love it, its great for sightseeing but better for fishing.
Great park. Helpful staff always. Everything is clean and well-kept. I only wish the beach was closer to campground. Paved roads for biking. Just beautiful. Lovely pool, but we have never been there when it is open!
I love Gulf State Park! Y'all do an excellent job of maintaining the park from the beaches to the trails to the lakes! It is my favorite place to go on the coast!!! Yesterday I saved 60 cans from the trash at the pass and I put them in the recycling bin by the post office. Have y'all considered putting recycling bins in strategic areas around the park? If we had container deposit legislation in Alabama (check out bottle bill dot org) each can would have been worth 5 cents. That's $3 in the bag in less than five minutes!
Probably one of the best places on earth to stay, home away from home!!
I understand that the park can't speculate the cause of death before they know, but it would show a lot of respect to at least make an announcement about the death of the male eagle that nested in the park and what a sad tragedy it is to lose such an important resident. Come on guys, step it up please.

God has truly blessed us all with the Gulf. State Park. There is so much beauty along the gulf coast.
I am a Winter Snowbird and love Gulf State Park!! My husband and I have been spending the Winters here for 6 years. We were so glad to see that recycling was available in the park...until a couple of people said they saw recycling picked up by the truck that picks up the regular trash. So much for trying to make a difference...
