We came down to participate in Alabama Coastal Cleanup and camped in a popup. Our site #83 Bobcat was a short walk to the bathhouses that are so much better now with AC so one can actually dry off. The site and all facilities were clean and in good service. However, the internet service did not work. We enjoyed the pool and the beach and had no real problems. This is the best park that we have been to. Large camp spots with plenty of things to do. Bring your bikes if you like to ride. They have a lot of paved bike trails. We also rode our bikes to the beach. It was about a mile from our camper.

I believe the State Park is run by people in Montgomery who don't have a clue what is happening here. To shut down the Zip Line after that company invested so much money and resources and MADE so much money for the City of Gulf Shores ; then when they asked why they were not even given the courtesy of a response. They have a citizens over-watch committee for the Mobile Police Department. They NEED ONE FOR THE GULF SHORES STATE PARK!
