When I actually got to see Dr. Gulati, I really liked her. She explained everything well and didnt sugar coat anything. The only problem and it's a big one is her staff. They do not return calls . They do not answer the phone so you must leave a message. They do not respond to messages in the patient health portal. They always seem to have a stick up their butt. I would recommend seeking out someone else simply because of her incompetent staff.
I have never been to any Dr. in my life that is as RUDE and HATEFUL as this woman. She talks a mile a minute and when you ask a question she proclaims rudely "ma'am you're not listening" Or "I have already explained that to you" when asking if she thought I did need the scope done before I could get out or do you think I should take the meds a while longer she rudely said" I have already told you that you need it and your not listening" well yes I was listening and believe me it was a chore.
Dr Gulati is a extremely good doctor. She explains things so you can understand them. She makes you feel like you are the only patients she has and that is very important. She always visits with you right before every procedure and stops in after you wake up to explain what went on. During my hospital stays last year she was always there or if unavailable she made sure someone from her Medical Group was there. I am extremely pleased with her and would and have highly recommended her.
She is a jewel! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, skilled. She takes her time with you and thoroughly explains what she is doing or will do and answers questions without ever making the patient feel dumb! Even my husband has switched over to her. I recommend her to anyone looking for a great gastroenterologist.
Dr Gulati makes you feel so comfotable, I found her to be so caring and easy to talk to. I felt like she really cared about what was going on with me. Excellent Doctor.

Terrible experience with this practice! It took several months to finally schedule an appointment. Then, just four days before my appointment, her office called to inform me that Dr. Gulati had decided that she was no longer accepting new patients with my insurance. This is a pathetic way of doing business! Dr. Gulati wasted several months of my time waiting to see her. I could have used this time to find another GI. I would avoid this doctor at all costs!
When I arrived, the receptionist was friendly, and when I went back to the exam room everything was squeaky clean. I sort of dread doctor visits, so when I heard her through the door speaking in friendly, playful tones with another patient I felt much easier. When she met me for my consultation, it didn't take long to recognize that Dr. Gulati is the total package- current and well-studied in her field, deeply intelligent, sweet, funny, non-dismissive of your questions or concerns.
Dr Gulati takes the time to answer questions and to explain. She does not judge or pontificate, but respects you as a human being and is open to any questions you have. Any practice these days has to be very efficient with physician time, but Dr. Gulati has never rushed me through just to get to the next patient. Of several doctors I see, she is my favorite and the one I most respect. She is professional but listens and is actually a very intelligent and likeable person.
