We financed our 1st time home loan and received wrong information from the lender. We were told by the lender that a 80/10/10 loan is illegal in Oregon. 2 years later when our friends went to purchase their home with another company they are doing the 80/10/10 loan. We told them you can't and we were wrong. I chose to finance my recent home purchase in Portland, OR via Guild Mortgage and it was an absolute disaster. Guild Mortgage doesn't understand the severity of the situation of home-buying. This is the biggest investment in a typical persons life and they treat it with utter disregard and lack of empathy for how you feel.
