San Antonio's ONLY Mexico City Kitchen - The MEX without the TEX. All our dishes are cooked in water, there is no lard, no grease no starches or flour in any of our sauces or soups. Instead we cook everything daily from SCRATCH, using only the freshest vegetables, meats, fish and a large variety of chiles. Chile is what gives our unique dishes their individual flavors. I’ve been a regular at this place for over 15 years. The food is high quality, they serve generous portions, and it’s delicious. The location is very convenient, the prices are fair, and servers are always very good. If you need fancy chairs and decor, this is not the place. If you want unbelievable and original food, great service, and fair prices, it’s a great experience.

Entering we waited to be seated. I don’t understand why anyone would have a “wait to be seated sign” only for the manager/owner to come and say that sometimes you have to wave them down. Waited 15 minutes after he seated us and no waiter(tress) showed up. A couple was seated right after us and someone shows up to attend them. The food on their menu didn’t even look appealing. Had to get up and leave due to the extremely poor service.

Rated as one of the top 10 tacos in the united states it lived up to the hype Not fancy but casual and the food was good
