The old man who owns it is mean as a snake. I picked a flower among hundreds & he started screaming at me. He told me to never pick his flower again & to never come back. Well, I never will. He is a piece of work!! I picked a bud for my sweet 2 year old granddaughter who was with me & he got mad at her too!!
RecommendedThey also sell to other greenhouses so you may have been buying Growers Outlets plants without knowing it. The only difference would be you would have paid more! Shop Smart!
We have been going to Growers for 10-15 years. Their product is less expensive than the big box places and the plants our substantially more mature. Very rarely have we lost any plants we buy from here. Tip, we dig out the clay in our yard where we will plant and then refill the hole with gardening soil. It is a lot of work but well worth the effort. Follow the directions the mature gentleman gives and plant on!
I have purchased multiple things from here and nothing ever lives. Most recently I purchased a $250 tree 2 months ago. It died along with all the flowers I purchased at the same time. I took the tree back and they said there is no warranty because I didn’t hire them to plant it for me. What a joke!! Kelly is rude, the old man behind the register is rude and arrogant. Stay clear. Lowe’s material is significantly better quality and lasts!!!
I'm surprised by the negative comments about service, because my experiences have been different. We have shopped there quite a few times and always been pleased. Yesterday, I called to see if they carried a specific variety of shrub I was seeking. The older gentleman who answered the phone was kind and friendly. He suggested two other nurseries I could try as they might be able to help me. He didn't need to do that but went out of his way to be helpful. We love Growers Outlet and will definitely be back.
The old guy that owns the place is a jerk
I called to ask about the price of a shrub. He told me they don’t give out prices over the phone. They sell at outlet prices and if that wasn’t cheap enough, I could go somewhere else. He then hung up on me. All he needed to do was say that their policy was to not give out prices over the phone. No need to be so rude. I can assure you, I will go elsewhere.
Great variety of plants!! I love this place!!
I’ve overlooked the owners rude unprofessional behavior for years but today was the last event. Made it clear he could care less about his customers; he’s in it for the money. Not some where I’ll ever do business again. Stay away - can only look forward to the day he runs off his last customer and goes out of business.
