Don't use these guys! I dropped my car off to have the horn fixed. I left to eat lunch. I was gone for 25 mins and when I came back my drivers side door was bashed in. They claim that it wasn't their responsibility. They wouldn't even pay the deductible on our insurance. They have the attitude that we are at fault. They claim it must have been a hit and run by another customer but they refused to release any info about what customers or part vendors had been there in that 25 mins. Very shady. Horrible and Un Groovy I took my car to the North Lamar shop, when I came back the door was smashed in and they claimed that they had no idea what happened. They were rude and took no responsibility for the damages.
2 strikes I went by the Groovey Auto on Lamar when they first opened to get my oil changed. They never got around to it so I went somewhere else. I just went back to give them another try. I signed off on a work order when I dropped of the car that had a price on it. When I picked up the car 2 hours later the price was 3 times what I had agreed to. The explanation was that the first price isn't how much they charge. I won't be back.....be careful...it was very deceptive.
Groovy Automotive This car repair shop is awesome! They do great work and at a great price. When I had my car in there it was out in no time. I always take my car here to get it inspected. The workers are pretty groovy themselves. It is mostly a bunch of punk looking guys that work here. Don't let looks be deceiving, because they really know their stuff and do great work.
They really are groovy was told by a certain mechanic at another place that it would cost over $1200 to fix my Isuzu....it was just DOA. A friend highly recommended Groovy, so I took the plunge & had my car towed there. They fixed it for about $250 and did it in record time. They also would call to let me know what they were doing, why they were doing it, and how much it would cost!

Excellent local garage! It took a couple of different recommendations to finally get me to try Groovy Automotive. I can't imagine going anywhere else now. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and prides itself on being somewhat laid back. They're also extremely prompt with both estimates and completed work. I'm not sure how they pull this all together with the heavy flow of cars I see going through there.
