Groovy Automotive is very honest i have been in austin for over a year now and i have gone to a lot of shops i really have not done a lot of work to my car but i have used groovy now a couple of times and they have given me a good service and fair price i will always recomend them to my friens as long as they stay honest
power of customer service i really believe these guys eat and sleep automotive repair, very knowledgeable, they have a great reputation with my friends and i had to take my car in, it had a ck engine light on and these guys found out it was just a loose gas cap, no other problems found very groovy, did not try to sell me any thing else, thanks art.
cool cats they have been working on my car which is a 2001 honda and they always use dealer parts that is what i request and they do seem to allways be very upfront and tell you what is wrong they quote a price and soo far have been right on so i tell all my friends to take there car here thanks for being cool and groovy
Burned me bad I took two cars into the N. Lamar shop, (old Jeep and a newer Honda) suddenly the coupons were invalid for the oil changes and radiator flush. They gave me a price, but when the bill came it was MUCH larger. About 2 weeks after that I took my jeep to a friends place to talk to him about buying it. When he opened the hood he mentioned the oil filter had not been changed in a while... after looking over the engine I realized they had not changed the oil or flushed the radiator... but they sure took my money for i... read more
Good luck Took my car to the N. Lamar shop to have an AC compressor fitted. They did it and I drove off. The thing blew hot air, then the engine overheated. I had to pay $100 to have it towed back to them, where they diagnosed the problem as a faulty radiator cap. When I asked why I had to pay to be towed when they sent me out with this problem, they explained that this problem did not exist when they worked on the AC, that their original work was good, and that the cap must have just happened to break the split second I dro... read more

Misdiagnosed my car Groovy Automotive "diagnosed" my car, which either needed a battery or the alternator had gone out. They charge a minimum of 30 minutes labor (approximately $43.00) to do a three minute diagnosis. They tried to sell me a $89.00 battery (don't know if they would have tried to stick me with an installation fee). I said "no" because my battery was still under warranty. Greatness! I recently went in to Groovy Automotive and had the greatest experience. I dropped of my car at 7:15AM and they were able to give me a ride to work. I took it in to get a timing belt and water pump on my Honda CRV. I was called at 2:00PM and my car was ready to go. The Groovy Van then came and picked me up at work and took me back to their shop.
