I have been Dr. Groover's or her psychiatric nurse Meridee's patient since 2017. I have TBI caused brain damage worsening rapid cycling bipolar disorder. Prior to Dr. Groover I had been treated by or examined by nine psychiatrists over a period of twenty-six years. The medications and advice Dr. Groover and Meridee have given me have kept me more sane and productive than I had ever been during the twenty-six years before. I am grateful.
Dr. Groover was very professional and listened when we were talking when some doctors won't take that time. Her staff was very professional and nice as well.
I've never been seen by Dr. Groover, but have seen several of her nurses of psychiatry. None have been helpful. All have given misinformation and messed with my medications without telling me. They all feel pressured by Dr. Groover to change their patients' meds and to not prescribe helpful things. Dr. Groover continues to lose staff because of the work conditions. Overall the staff is incompetent. Waiting room is uncomfortable. Wait time is very long. Office is dirty - bugs in the overhead lighting.
Mental health is not to be taken lightly. And you have to be willing to do what the provider thinks is best and if it doesn't work they will change it. That's what I did and you can not give up and then blame someone else. I have always had a great experience at this clinic. and the staff is wonderful especially the lady at the front window. Always smiling and will do anything for you. You can't go wrong going to this clinic.
She is a very disrespectful person. If you have an appointment with her, expect to wait at least 1 1/2 hours beyond the appointment time. Her staff will not respond to referrals. I wish I could say something positive but I didn’t experience anything positive about her.
The staff here are the absolute worst to be dealing with mental health patients. I would never subject anyone I cared for to this kind of treatment and theft of money to a single mother.
She’s changed my life for the better, and she truly understands me without just telling me I’m right. She’s gone so far to help me and I believe she truly cares about her patients
If I could give zero stars, I would. From the second I sat down I knew I should’ve walked out. From the reception staff complaining about how miserable they were, to the practitioner Jason Watts not taking my mental health seriously, to me having a breakdown as I left because I felt worse than when I came in. He assumed what I could afford for medication and wouldn’t give me a prescription for what he initially wanted to put me on. Long wait times. Doesn't listen. Doesn't communicate well. Refuses to acknowledge that we, the patients, have equal say in the decision making process. Doesn't return calls herself, everything is communicated by the nurse. Brusque, dismissive. Go somewhere else.
