We have been coming here for years. Never disappointed! Most recent visit was my parents' anniversary. Food was fantastic, great table upstairs for our family and waitress made their special night just perfect.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! WE LIVE RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM GRUENE AND THE GRISTMILL IS OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT!!! THE SERVICE IS GREAT AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS SPECTACULAR!!!
Always a great selection of good food with fresh ingredients. Wife and I split a poblano pasta salad with sliced. broiled chicken breast. Very good!
The best place in the world to enjoy dinner. It is our favorite and there are not enough stars to show how much. The food is always consistent. We have been going to the Gristmill for a very long time.

So, I drove to this place from San Antonio for an anniversary date because I've heard nothing but "great" things about it. The first steak I ordered was over cooked. Second one was...well... disgusting. It tasted SOUR and un seasoned. I didn't know medium rare meant no pink&no juice... just brownish grey uncooked meat.
