Great place. Great food, except was not impressed with their fries but that's my taste. Beautiful location, very friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.
The service was impeccable and the food (I had ribs) was amazing.

Even though I've been to Gruene many times over my 27 Years in San Antonio and have seen this place often, yesterday was my first time eating there. It was a lunch time visit. Beautiful, rustic place set along the Guadalupe river. Everything was perfect... river view table, service, ambience and THE FOOD... all at a good price. I was even visited by the house Cat! Serene and peaceful during a weekday afternoon, I'm sure this place becomes packed during dinner, especially weekends.
Very nice family restaurant. Will go back food was fabulous and our server did very well when it comes to 18 people.
We drive all the way from Dallas just to eat there and it was worth it! LOVED IT!!!
