Great service and the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. I go there just for this.
The restaurant was very nice, and the food and drinks where superb! But we went on Memorial Day weekend, and the place was packed, waited 2 hours for a table, snd during the wait a bad thunder storm blew through, soaking everyone waiting � We had a good time anyway, the whole town was barely walkable due to so many people. New Braunsful was the same..... Fun in spite of it all �

Food was delicious!! Our server Mario was outstanding, he made sure our big group was very well taken care of, thanks buddy!
Friendly staff and lots of seating. Food is what you'd expect from a touristy town, nothing particularly memorable. Prices also in line with tourist attractions. If you're in Gruene and get hungry you could do worse than Gristmill.
Food and atmosphere was so amazing. Fine dining in the woods! Best onion rings I have ever eaten, huge chunks of blue cheese in the salad dressing. Waiter was very attentive even though the restaurant was super busy on the day we visited.
Outstanding staff... but still feel the onion rings should be cut in half. :-)
First timer...wow. Wonderful staff. Friendly and kid friendly. Food and staff equally great. On my list to go back.
