Dr. Komenda performed two surgeries, and they both went just as expected.
Dr. Komenda went above and beyond to repair my knee on my schedule. I was taking a trip in 3 weeks and he added me to his surgery calendar immediately so I could still go on my trip. I was in too much pain to go as I was. His surgery was a resounding success as I felt 100% better immediately. Dr. Komenda is a great surgeon and an outstanding individual. I recommend Dr. Komenda to everyone I know with a joint issue.
Dr Komenda performed a full-knee replacement for my wife. Since that surgery she is now able to walk freely and without pain. At all times Dr Komenda was attentive, punctual, kind, and spoke in language laymen could understand. He was, and still is, positive and encouraging. We recommend him highly and without reservation!
Dr. Komenda seems to be very good at surgery. He was very reassuring. His behavior was different at different times. Sometimes he was very friendly and spent a lot of time explaining things to me. Sometimes he was almost rude and rushed me. Instructions for surgery preparation and post surgery was very poor. To summarize, I would probably see him again, but if a better surgeon is available I will switch.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the excellent quality, professionalism, knowledge, kindness and thorough approach to my diagnosis and subsequent robotic partial knee replacement by Dr. Komenda and his staff. Moreover, I was never talked down to, and was treated with complete dignity and respect. After three months of very limited mobility, I was restored to full mobility after just four weeks of rehab. I couldn't be more pleased!
Dr. Komenda is an excellent doctor. I am very grateful to him for his expertise and caring. I recommend him without hesitation and would give more stars if I could!
I would highly recommend Dr. Komenda. He listens carefully, probes for details on lifestyle as well as physiology, and then openly discusses treatment options. He worked with me on several steps, and then when I was ready and it was appropriate, he performed bilateral medial makoplasty on my knees. The surgery went so smoothly. Little to no pain. Walking over 2 miles after 4 days. Skiing (on good conditions!) at 5 weeks. So happy to be pain free with no complications.
