I authorized a $1000 security deposit HOLD on my credit card on July 17, 2022 when I picked up the rental car. This hold is because I did not opt to pay for Green Motion insurance and instead chose to use my own auto insurance (I've never had to authorize a security deposit when using my own insurance company with a rental car company). I returned the car on July 18, 2022 and they told me that a security deposit of $250 was going to be charged on my CC but it will be refunded right after 10 business days. Well that did not happen, I had to call them twice because my $250 was not refunded by Monday Aug 1st. I was told that a $1000 hold will be put on my credit card and released 10 business days later. However, it was not a hold, my credit card was charged immediately and we are past the 10 business days and now I am paying interest on that $1000 and have not received it back yet. Returned car 6/25/2022. Received email 7/14 of money being returned after multiple calls and demands to speak with management , but still NO money credited to my credit card. Today I asked for managers full name and was hung up on.

I rented a car through them for a couple days but now I have to cut my trip short due to personal reasons. I called and asked if I would get a refund for the days I will not be using the vehicle, and they told me no because I already have the car. That is such a rip off policy and I will never use them again. Mostly all other car rental places will accommodate for returning early and will refund for the days you are not using the vehicle, but not this company. They didn't seem to care at all. They are scamming people out of money. They said I had to do a $1K deposit Unless I paid a daily fee (makes no sense). Almost a month later I still don't have the refund, they went as far a "issuing" some type of refund then revoked it. Now they won't even pick up their phone
