Johnny I hardly knee ye! Very sad, biased voters. Low energy.
Blatant disregard for one of the best punters in college football. Sad! Johnny Townsend should be among the top punters considered for the Ray Guy Award.
This rating is due to possible bias and general incompetence by the Augusta Sports Council in the selection of the Ray Guy Award, supposedly given to the top punter in college football each year. In 2016, Johnny Townsend from the University of Florida led the NCAA with 47.9 yards per punt. He was NOT a finalist (top 3) for the 2016 Ray Guy Award. The egregious omission of Florida punter Johnny Townsend from your list of semifinalists for the Ray Guy Award is inexcusable. If this is in retaliation for Tim Tebow's two home runs in the season-opening series with the GreenJackets, well, that's a little unfair to Johnny Townsend don't you think?
