I looked on yelp in hopes of finding a moving company in PA but of course it was no luck. I then looked in New Jersey and came across Great American Van Lines. Not only are they very precise but they are very attentive to detail. They were sure to wrap all of my glasses, couches, and refrigerator. This review is overdue! Although we were very last minute, Great American Van Lines managed to match us with a crew at a very decent price. The initial process was very detailed, and thorough. Be ready to provide the size of your various bookcases, for example. When that was taken care off, Great American Van Lines and their crew showed up on time. They were very professional. From the get go, Great American Van Lines was helpful beyond our belief, we had planned to move from Philadelphia back to Washington midsummer. We made all the normal decisions, started to plan and pack. We called all the usual suspects in relation to our transportation. And found that the cost involved in driving a truck was just too expensive. Please, know that because of my business, I move an entire household at least every year to two years. With that in mind, my comments are based on experience with many different movers. This particular move using Great American Van Lines was not a household move, but was a very dicey move of my belongings from my ex-husband's home in Virginia to my own in Texas. Great American Van Lines, part of Jersey City New Jersey, move was an excellent experience in every phase. I had read reviews of SEVERAL DIFFERENT MOVERS and listed the areas that were subject to problems. Some reviewers didn't like the procedure of the loading of all their stuff then having to sign off that there was damage or whatever. My experience with Great American Van Lines was outstanding. My older son had put his furniture in storage 3 years ago in Tolland, CT. After a long illness, he passed away. Great American Van Lines worked with me to keep the storage in place until I was able to send for it. When I called to make arrangements to have the furniture sent from Tolland to New Orleans, they went to the max to help me arrange transporting at the least cost to me. The communication with the company, their updating of my information on the move, the timeliness of their delivery and pickup of the container both in Boston to Tucson were impeccable!!
