Took my sick 6 month old cat in as an emergency on a Saturday afternoon. They were prompt to get us in. Looked at my sick fur baby then evaluated him. BUT then came back with an estimate way too outrageous for me to pay. I already knew the visit would be $99 just to step through the door, then appalled at the $525 estimate to get him care. I took my puppies over there last week. They charged a ridiculous amount of money to take the pups temperatures and put them in a warning box for 15 minutes. Didn't run any tests just said they thought it was a viral infection tracked in from the momma. Prescribed amoxicillin and sent me home saying "the puppies SHOULD be okay." I paid the bill and paid for the medicine. Gave the pups the medicine as prescribed and 2 days later, 2 more puppies died. Took them to another animal hospital and was told they had PARVO! Yesterday was a difficult Christmas....my parents’ 15 year old dog, Sam, became so weak and sick he could no longer stand or even move, and we all knew it was his time to go. My whole family was so touched by each and every staff member we encountered. Everyone was so kind, compassionate and caring, and treated Sam with so much love and dignity. Great with animals. Not very nice to people. Rude comments are unnecessary. I'm so thankful that my pediatrician has never made me feel like a terrible parent because I had sick kids like this facility makes me feel when I have a sick dog. But the actual care of animals is great.
Dr. Blake Watson and vet tech Tara were wonderful.
I had an emergency with my elderly Yorkie at 3:00 a.m. The clinic answered the phone immediately when my call to my regular vet was transferred to them. They were wonderful when we got there. I received a follow up call a few hours later when the staff changed shifts. When I arrived to pick up my fur baby in the afternoon, the staff was friendly and very thorough in explaining what was occurring with my Yorkie. Although I had to drive from Durant in the middle of the night, it was worth it to receive such professional care.
