Truth about vets exposed I called Grand Island because they were the only vet open at 10pm at night when a 1 1/2 week old kitten needed medical attention. Her tongue was turning blue and I wanted to see what to do for her!! I brought a 2000 dollar kitten into this office to be examined and helped. Well they told me the mom is not nursing her enough and she is dehydrated. Grand Island Small Animal Hospital is so uncaring I think they totally suck and all they care about is money they have no compassion at all for an animal unless you have money. I would never ever recommend this place to any one. Some one should really stop and make this place stop ripping off people and putting their pet to death unless u have money and their uncaring staff. Oh that's right they are only doing their jobs. Superior Care, Compassionate Vets I have had to use their emergency services three times as of this date. Last time was the most urgent â I took my dog in when he couldn't breathe and they treated him immediately. His diagnosis was life threatening thus I was very sad. They took their time explaining to me his condition and let me come see him (though I feel they made an exception for me) in his oxygen cage. Grand Island Small Animal Hospital is all about the money! I have been taking all 3 of my cats to this hospital for the past 9 years. Have spent hundreds of dollars on a cat in the past there. I was involved in a bad automobile accident 5 years ago and am disabled now, which is apparent. I live off of Social Security Disability and do the best I can for the two cats I have now. Would recommend to anyone! We had such a great experience here that I felt like I needed to write a review 3 months later. My cat started acting odd/sick one night and started bleeding and howling. Feeling like it was an emergency, I spent a quick half an hour online looking for a place with good reviews that would take emergencies. compassionate and caring facility The staff and doctors at this hospital are some of the most loyal and heartfelt people that I've had the pleasure of not only going to and working along side of. They have always treated my dog with so much love that its an actually treat to take her to the vet. Grand Island Small Animal Hospital is GREAT I am perplexed by the bad reviews as I had a very good experience with them. I called them concerning my 2 year old beagle. He had eaten something he shouldn't and we were concerned about a blockage. My vet (for 9 years!!) gave him drugs to calm him down so I could muzzle him as he is terrified of strangers. a 5 star veterinarian I cannot say enough about DR. Harper and the care he gave my cat . He was so generous with his time, both in person , and on the telephone ..The staff was courteous, helpful and Dr. Harper is amazing .. if you need laser surgery for your pet, do not hesitate to go to Grand Island Small Animal hospital .
