We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Imperial Hotel after riding the world famous Durango & Silverton there on a warm May day...the newly refurbished room furnished in vintage period style overlooked the quaint and friendly mining town and a nice city park..of course we plan to stay there again!!!

Beautifully renovated. Very nice room decor. Our room was TINY! No chair, only bed with uncomfortanle brass type headboard to lean on, and no spare pillow to support head. Windows need replacement eventually, or winters will be very cold. The restaurant was great for lunch, but no breakfast or dinner. Only found one place open for dinner, as most places were closed for rhe season.
Lovely old hotel in the historic town of Silverton, CO. The staff was very friendly as were the other guests, some from as far away as Australia. The restaurant at the hotel left a little to be desired but there are several other restaurants within walking distance that were excellent.
We stopped in there for lunch. Service was very fast and the food was very tasty.
