We rode the train from Durango and chose to eat at this beautiful place. Sweet lil man playing the piano inside the door, interior is amazing and Cowpoke salad was fabulous! Only regret we didn't have longer to visit.

I recommend ride the train 🚂 up and spend the night. Ride the train back and I would also recommend riding a first class coach.

The rooms are clean and elegantly furnished with antiques. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They went above and beyond to make our stay over the busy July 4th weekend go smoothly, even opening the gift shop to get our train tickets. There's no elevator, not many outlets for electronics, and it's not ostentatious...if you like Colorado living, you will love this hotel. If you live in the bathroom, you may want to stay somewhere else. We will be back!!
❤️Beautiful hotel! ❤️ Stick to the 1st floor if you don't like STAIRS though. (No elevator) The staff there are friendly, knowledgeable and on top of it.. whatever it may be. Can't wait to go back.
