I have diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Quite a combination. Dr. Byrnes has always been very informative when I visit. He gives me complete information about what is going on, and what I need to do between appointments. I am very happy with Dr. Byrnes and would recommend him to everyone.

My visit was a day after surgery appointment . My surgeon was not there so I had to see DrByrnes. He was not ver friendly and acted like he did not want to see me . The tech who accompanied him tried to ask him questions so she can record on my chart and he barely answered her If I had known better I would have traveled to MD to see my doctor Don’t see him if you are not really his patient
I've been seeing Dr. Brynes at least 2-3 times a year for the last couple of years, and each visit has been great. I always feel he and his staff at the Retina Group or Washington are totally committed to making sure I understand everything I need to know in order to make my visit pleasant and productive.
