We bought a used car from a dealership nearby and wanted to get it inspected before we bought it. The guy that was working here was very friendly and made us feel comfortable, and gave us a great rundown of what he checked. We would definitely go back here again and highly recommend them.

We've been going to Matt the last 3-4 years. He is a straight shooter, knows what he's doing and has the most competitive prices around. My husband used to go to the other guys and took some convincing but once he got there he's become a fan! I only wish I'd known Matt when I had to have my engine replaced! We have a number of instances where we brought our cars in and, within a day or so figured out the problem, fixed it and had them up and running. I am so glad I found this mechanic. I called in the morning about an electrical wiring problem (rat chewed wires and disabled driver side window and door/window controls) and the owner Matt was able to check it out same day. I dropped off the car at 1:30pm and it was ready by 4pm. Everything works perfectly now and he charged me way less than if I had brought it to the Volkswagen dealership . I brought my car in to have the struts replaced and to have a weird noise investigated. I have to say that the people leaving bad reviews must have been rude first. That's the only reason I can think of that Matt would be rude to anyone. He was extremely helpful and thorough. He found the source of the noise, replaced my struts and replaced plastic clips another mechanic broke last year during a tune up(I did not ask him to do this for me) all before I had to pick my kids up from school. I'm with Wendell- this place is excellent. Being a female I'm used to getting jerked around by mechanics; I'm always suspicious, but I had a great experience dealing with Matt. I called yesterday and showed up at Golden Gate today ready to replace all of my brake pads and rotors on a recommendation from the Firestone I visited last month for tires. Why I came here: My timing belt and water pump needed to be replaced. I looked up yelp and decided to give this place a try. The Technician: The name is Matt, and oh boy he is full of life. He might come of a bit intimidating but he tells you what he is going to do with your car how is he going to fix it such and such, hes very blunt.
