Yahoo is correct with the 5 stars! Golden gate is as good as it gets! Ive had my car worked on here a few times and I enjoy the honesty that Matt provides. It is hard to find people you can trust with your car but I have found the place to go!
I did not have any automotive work performed on my car here; BUT these guys that work here (especially the owner) were extremely helpful, humble, and attentive. I had ran out of gas off of Airbase PKWY and after walking to four different locations asking for help these guys were the only ones who extended a helping hand with a gas can and some gas. Have used Golden Gate a number of times over the last few years for things including replacing a fuel pump on our Chevy Tahoe and various maintenance jobs. The latest was repairing the heater/AC fan on my Honda. Matt has always come through for us. He's a knowledgeable guy and he tells it like it is. It's nice to have a good repair shop so close to home. Highly recommend.
My van broke down in Fairfield on the way to Oregon. The owner was gruff and curmudgeony at first, but worked tirelessly and accurately to get me on the road. He not only fixed the problem that caused the break-down, but noticed another small problem and told me where to get the necessary part. I asked him to do it instead, and he did so. Even though it was a bit tricky because the van is old, he didn't charge me much more than the cost of the part. Then he gave me suggestions about what to do to get to Oregon safely.
