The drive of the culinary entourage at Girl & The Goat gets its inspiration from the persistent animal that is now their not-so-concealed mascot. Specializing in locally-sourced and organic produce, this restaurant follows the farm-to-table philosophy to the tee. Vegetables, seafood and meat are cooked up in fun, imaginative ways, minus the compromise on variety. Going by the name, the goat dishes are sure to tantalize your taste buds. While the menu changes with the season, the vibe remains unchanged. The exposed beams, woo... read more

First visit to Chicago and we had to try the restaurant after seeing the chef on Top Chef years ago and the experience certainly did not disappoint! The entire staff was outstanding, our server Kelly was extremely kind and attentive all evening as was all of the staff that we interacted with. Not to mention the dishes were some of the best food I've tasted in my life! I'm gluten intolerant and not only did Kelly make me feel welcome they had a separate menu and fresh baked GF bread! Truly an outstanding experience!
This place is absolutely amazing. Both the food and and the service are too notch!!!! It started with a very friendly and hospitable hostess, followed by our server for the evening on 12/30/2015- who was fun, attentive and ensured we had a great experience. In addition, Matt, 1 of the associates overseeing the floor for the evening, was equally as amazing!!!! He checked in on our table of 4 throughout our meal and gave us some history on the restaurant, including the inspiration for the name. Thank you both for a memorable e... read more
We came to Chicago back in June for the Mumford and Sons show which was unfortunately postponed- we were all really disappointed and wondering what we should do with our free evening. We had heard about Girl and the Goat and the raving reviews and said why not? And we were able to make a reservation. First thing that hits you when you walk in- is the mouth watering aromas. Holy crap- what is that and can I have one of everything? Second, is the atmosphere- loved the industrial decor- it had an urban, laid back kinda style. W... read more
I have been here a few times over the years. Last time i was at G&TG was in September for my birthday. It's become too touristy for my taste and the food is ok. I always remember enjoying the food here, but this last time around i was disappointed. I respect Stephanie Izard, so definitely will try her new restaurant. And, love, love Little Goat.
I just took my taste buds to Disney World. It was information overload for the senses. Too many great dishes to single anything out, but the sugo was a hit with the whole table. So satisfied right now. Bliss.
Kohlrabi Salad. Yummy . Chickpea Fritter. Delish . Roasted Cauliflower. 1 order for here and 1 to go please :) Yes Im vegetarian. My family is not. There is something here for us all. They love the shank.
Absolutely incredible. One of the best if not the best dining experience I've ever had. Incredible menu, wonderful staff, hilight of my trip.
Service was great. Hard to believe that the food was even better. Thanks Stephanie!
