Best pulled pork sandwich I've ever eaten! Should be 6 stars
Absolutely delicious food and service was excellent in a comfortable environment.
I worked with Gilbert's Underground Kitchen Catering Services for an event on the island with about 40-50 people, including quite a few kids. They are great to work with and have several options for events of all sizes. I ordered a BBQ package that included all of their great BBQ items like turkey, pulled pork, chicken, sausage, and three sides plus banana pudding. I also got chicken tenders for the kids. Everybody LOVED the food. It was easy, plentiful, and of course, amazingly delicious!
The BBQ was outstanding!! Be sure to have the ribs, but bring your appetite!! It was such a great experience and to have the opportunity to meet the chef was just icing on the cake!! Chef Gilbert is such a humble and gracious man. Wonderful dining experience❤️
Who knew that a visit to Gilbert's Underground Kitchen would yield a dining experience just one fork full from heaven. I had the Southern Curry and a potpourri of sides. Outstanding! To top it all off met the chef himself and got a selfie! The 50th birthday, #TheGoldStandard, is all the way live! Thanks Kenny Gilbert for a deliciously memorable evening!
LOVED IT! The lamb sandwich. The fried green tomatoes. The collard greens. And that catfish...DeeeeeLISH!
My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there a few weeks ago. She got the pulled pork sandwich and I got a pulled turkey drum sandwich that was Out of this world. Great Job and we LOVE this place!
