Gilbert’s never disappoints! Great food with great service. We were there last night (we’re local so we’ve been there before) The food was AMAZING as always but what really stood out to us was the service. Our server was very attentive but not in a obtrusive way. We even had other servers stop at our table to recommend certain sauces. In my opinion Gilbert’s Underground Kitchen is one of the best restaurants on Amelia Island!
The alligator sliders were fantastic and the fried green tomatoes and pickles were great. My crab cake was a little dry but the field peas made up for that! Great staff!
Small hometown restaurant with not much flair but youre there for the food not the ambiance. The sangria flight was amazing! 5 different sangrias and all great. We also had the meat sampler which was easily enough for 4 or 5 people. The alligator ribs were excellent, just like chicken. Burnt ends were great as were the rest.
Top notch from scratch bbq. Try the brisket duo and crispy brussel sprouts. The fried green tomato appetizer is awesome as well !
So, so good y’all! Definitely our new favorite place! The food was incredible and the servers we dealt with were so sweet. We had our puppy with us so we sat out back. Unfortunately, the temperature dropped on us and it was crazy windy 😣 Totally worth it though!! We will absolutely be back 😊
