Don’t come to Amelia Island and miss The Underground Kitchen! We love the ambience, the music, the service, the value ... and then there’s the food! Anna’s MAC n Cheese with shredded brisket barbecue is to die for! And my Sweetie lives for the wild shrimp and grits!

We had a party of four at Gilbert's yesterday and, oh my, what a treat! Pure deliciousness! We started with an appetizer of fried chicken skins with roumalade sauce and ordered the Duo of Brisket, Southern fried chicken, grits, and macaroni and cheese for entrees. Then topped it off with banana pudding, bourbon pecan pie and peach cobbler pie for dessert. This was our first time eating here and it instantly became our favorite restaurant on Amelia Island! This is a must stop if you are on the island. You could eat there 5 days in a row and not eat the same thing. Gater ribs are awesome!!!!
Some of the best BBQ we have ever enjoyed! We got the Ultimate Sampler, so much food. Our family ate on it for 2+meals. The greens, mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts were so delicious. I will recommend your restaurant to anyone visiting the Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach area. Can't wait to come back and eat at your amazing restaurant again.
