Super quick take out! Loved the pulled pork and chess pie!
My family and I just visited for lunch. The chicken and pork was grey looking and so dry. The coleslaw was terrible. It was more of a relish. The only thing that even tasted decent was the chicken fingers and fries we ordered for our kids. The food here is not BBQ... I don’t know how it’s “the best in town”.
I grew up in Huntsville, and moved away 35 years ago. Every time I’m in town I eat at Gibson’s and am never disappointed. Sad to see #2 at Jordan Lane closed, as it was my favorite. Can’t beat a pork sandwich with outside meat and original sauce at Gibson’s.
Friendly place, excellent food. I like that it still feels like a mom pop restaurant.
Dirty bathrooms, sluddy tables and menuecards! My chicken was bloody/ roh inside! She brought me a new one- again blutig inside! Never again!
We've lived there three different times in the 1970's & 80's (husband was military). I remember that the BBQ and sides were good, but the Peanut Butter Pie was EPIC!!! If they still have the same people making the pies now as they did then, do yourself a favor and have some. They had other flavors, but our family favorite was PB, and we just never tried any of the other flavors.
