You asked me to do this review. We bought cod supposedly fresh but admittedly in your markdown bin. Yesterday my boyfriend prepared that cod after eating about 1/4 of one portion he felt ill & lied down. Soon after he began vomiting. We thought he had the flu. We fed the remaining cod to our dog. This morning my bf is better -- it was food poisoning !! but our dog is dead. Thank you Giant Eagle for your tainted food!! That's my review!
I've shopped twice in the last week and there were not enough cashiers. I went later on Saturday evening and the store wasn't busy, but again had to wait in long lines because not enough cashiers. I love my neighborhood Giant Eagle and the employees, but I'm shopping elsewhere if I have another long wait.
Store is great I love shopping there it's very clean, however while checking out the cashiers were saying how they couldnt look up reward card by number right now but could by name. They wouldn't let me use my mom's card (I live out of state and don't have giant eagles) said I they could come back and show them the card and get the refund. So I say I'll just sign up for a card, the manager says go to service desk while he rings you up (keep in mind I don't have a lot), she walks away. so I go up to customer service there is ... read more
Dear Giant Eagle Painesville, you have a huge "sale" sign up in the butcher area for you beef and chicken kabobs. The sale sign states the they are on sale for $8.99 & 7.99 respectively. I am writing to inform you that is actually the regular price. Nice try though!
