The Gering Bakery has been baking goodies from scratch since 1950. The bakery is owned and managed by Ron Ahlers, a master baker and Chris Ahlers. Ron was one of the first 500 certified bakers in the United States. One of the unique aspects of the business is its use of all fresh ingredients -- no pre-made mixes are used. Wanted to thank The Gering Bakery for such a great job they did on my Mom's 80th Birthday cake. I live in Texas and contacted them with what I wanted and they delivered. It was beautiful and tasted delicious. Amazing service.

They turn something so beautiful into a sexual innuendo! After asking for a breastfeeding cake they go and say they don't show profanity and sexual cakes! My 6 year old can look at that cake and know it's breastfeeding. Also for my sons birthday had a cake made before from them and I had went to Gering to pick it up. They misspelled a simple 4 letter name. To get help on it they sent me to Scottsbluff bakery then back to Gering I was so mad because I was now behind schedule I asked for a discount because of gas and their mes... read more
Best in town and best around been coming here since 1988.
It is my favorite place ever! My dads half of the family lives in Gering so we always drive to visit them. My aunt always asks me what I want, and I always say doughnuts from the bakery. My favorite is the pretzel twist, and the strawberry.
Terrible terrible terrible decorating....two thumbs down...won't b going back...
