The Gering Bakery has been baking goodies from scratch since 1950. The bakery is owned and managed by Ron Ahlers, a master baker and Chris Ahlers. Ron was one of the first 500 certified bakers in the United States. One of the unique aspects of the business is its use of all fresh ingredients -- no pre-made mixes are used. I ordered a cake by phone for my sons birthday and when we picked it up I was AMAZED at how it turned out! It was the cutest cake ever!
They made my wedding cake and it was perfect. Good flavor and it matched our colors perfectly.
I ordered a Mermaid cake for my daughter’s birthday and it turned out nothing like the picture. I sent them a colored picture of what I wanted and was told they could make it. I picked up the cake and they couldn’t even keep the mermaid tail from falling over. Very disappointed and they really didn’t seem to care. Poor customer service!! Waste of money!!
