The Gering Bakery has been baking goodies from scratch since 1950. The bakery is owned and managed by Ron Ahlers, a master baker and Chris Ahlers. Ron was one of the first 500 certified bakers in the United States. One of the unique aspects of the business is its use of all fresh ingredients -- no pre-made mixes are used. I went in there on Valentine’s Day morning to buy some cookies. The staff was horrible and extremely rude to an elderly woman and myself. I’ll never go in there again.
Breads and cinnamon rolls are my husbands favorite. We will make a special trip to get them when traveling in NE. Best bakery ever!

I ordered my grandmas 75th birthday cake from here. It was over priced. The tiers fall apart after they delivered it. And the decorative flowers that were supposed to be on it were just fake flowers all over the cake. I payed 400 for some fake flowers. Ridiculous. Here’s a picture of the $400 cake that just fell right after they delivered and that has all these fake flowers stuck inside instead of edible flowers.
Went into Gering Bakery this morning (10/22/19) @ 7:30am to purchase either cupcakes or Halloween cookies and the lady behind the counter did not appear to be friendly, she showed no customer service in greeting us in as we looked around. That said, customer service is the first and foremost that draws business, especially returned customers, however, we will not be back.
Everything is always amazing at the Gering Bakery! I love the product n the ppl!!
