Great Seafood & Great Staff Love going here with my family no matter what time of year! The pan seared scallops are my favorite & my husband usually goes for the “Special” on the menu, Usually a fish dish. Delicious

The clam chowder and clam cakes were delicious. We were a little disappointed with the seafood platter. The scallops were very good, the fish was also good but the batter was a little gooey on the inside, we were also expecting full belly clams but received chewy clam strips instead.

My first-time there and there was 4 of us for the 1948 deal. For starters 3 of us has the red chowder which was very good and I white chowder which was like water and tasteless The clam cakes were hot crispy and loaded with clams and delicious. Our meals consist of 3 Fisherman platters and 1 fish and chip. For the price of the platter we were disappointed with the amount of food on the platter and clam strips not bellies and all the fish was not cooked in the middle. Not impressed at all. My husband and I go to George’s maybe three to four times a year. We have always had excellent service and food. Yesterday with the clam cakes and chowder being priced back to 1948 was interesting. Get wait till the next time we can go again
We thought it would be a fun night to head to the beach in winter and get some 1948 prices! Way before we were born 😂 Upon arrival we were greeted with a 2 hour wait! We went upstairs to the bar and the bartenders were very accommodating to get us another stool so we could sit together We had a couple of drinks and watched the parties in front of us decline in the app This was exciting to go from 22 to our turn in 1.5 hours! George's has been an icon and a go to place in RI. My husband and I met there and worked there when we were younger. Went on Tuesday night and it was just perfect! Had an overall wonderful experience! The service was spot on and the food was hot, wholesome, and full of flavor! I would recommend it for sure! The restaurant looks wonderful as well!
