This Chicago landmark located in River North has been around since 1941 and is considered to be Chicago's oldest steakhouse. Like many places of its ilk, the dark mahogany paneling and white table cloths are de rigeur while the wait-staff wear ties and aprons. The Lamb chops were cooked perfect and our service was fantastic
If you think this is bad service or food, keep going to McDonald's. This was by far one of the best meals I have ever had!!! Waiter was amazing, 'runners' just as good, we had veal chop, lamp chops and carpacio! There was nothing that could have been better!!!
Fantastic service and loads of food! Our waiter has worked there for 37 years and it truly showed. If you have a chance to visit G & G you will go home with a full stomach and full of laughs. 75 years and family owned, a hidden jem in downtown Chicago with delicious authentic food. Hopefully its around for another 75 more years! Mangia!
Went for lunch with 10 guys for the holidays half of us wanted the prime rib and they didn't have it told us we could have ribeye for the dinner price been going there for the last 5 yrs but I don't think we're going anymore I don't think they want to sell the prime rib at lunch prices anymore
Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here. It was fantastic. Definitely coming back next time we're in Chicago.
This is the place where you want to get a true Chicago steak! It doesn't get more authentic than this place!
Took our friends there (Rosemont location) for dinner before a show at Rosemont Theatre. Food was FANTASTIC! (as usual), service was 1st class, and when we first arrived we told them of our plans and time restraints, and we got our food promptly and were able to eat it without feeling rushed that we would miss the start of our show. You now have 2 more new fans in our friends and now they talk about going back! Fine dining doesn't get any better then this!!! Thank you G & G for not disappointing!
