This Chicago landmark located in River North has been around since 1941 and is considered to be Chicago's oldest steakhouse. Best steak in Chicago...my first visit was one to remember!
Had another fabulous meal at Gene and Georgetti's. Have been to the new Rosemont location now three times, once for dinner and twice for lunch and each time was wonderful! I have been to the original G&G many times so I am so happy they have the new one closer to me in Rosemont. The new place is beautiful and when you are sitting there you still feel like you are at the original one in Chicago. Disappointing Dinner last evening. The service and atmosphere (Rosemont) was fine. All steaks came out very undercooked - ordered medium and they were very very rare. We sent them back, when they came back the were over charred and tasted burnt. I have higher expectations from this place as they should know how to cook a steak properly. Best part of the meal was the chopped salad. Not sure I will return.
Phenomenal . large quantities . awesome steaks. Lots of Rooms . ice cream is great but large. Can accommodate large families or groups. Service is excellent. Might even see Ben Franklin
Best steak I have had in 20yrs. The staff and service was phenomenal. Stories of the place and history just as good. A must place to stop and dine when in Chicago.
