HORRIBLY rude employees (in 2010 atleast). Save yourself the hassle and just let another dealership get you the car you want, even if gary matthews already has it.
Theres a reason Garry Mathews has such a bad rating... for one they add \$3,000 in dealer add ons. One is an undercoat for rust protection (\$1,000) although the vehicle already comes with a 60 month/100,000 corrosion perferation warranty. The sticker on the window says available add ons... when asked about it I was told that these had already been done to the vehicle. Gary Matthews is absolutely awful! All they care about is a sale, they will screw you in a heartbeat. Soon they will be blacklisted to military. There have been quite a few cases in which this dealership has made empty promises on already trashed vehicles. You would be much better off going to Wyatt Johnson.
Do yourself a big favor....These people are incompetent in every way. If they had any brains they would be dangerous. Do not take your Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler in for for repairs to them. Go to Bob Frensley in Nashville or Gupton in Springfield TN....! Stay away from them as if they have the plague...!
the worse service place i have ever dealt with. i brought my car in for a check engine light. they told be it would be fixed that day. informed me later that they had to order the part in and it wouldnt be in till the next morning. and again reassured me that it would be fix by 5pm the next day. well 2pm rolls around and still no word from them so i called and was told it hasnt even been brought into the shop yet. so i asked if it would be fix that day and they said not likely. well i was pissed by that point. what was the p... read more
Today I had scheduled to have my jeep grand Cherokee evaluated. When it is in park and you moved the steering wheel there was a grind sound and when you drive around a corner there is a knock sound, it is loud and not easily mistaken or unheard. I had taken it in a few days ago to the auto skill center and with a quick evaluation from there staff it appeared to be the rack and pinion. On friday 6/10/11 I stopped at the used lot and a young guy came to help me, I asked about a small truck on the lot. He went inside and got the price (\$5800),the year(2000) and miles(125000) wrote down for me. I said to him I would be right back. So I left there for 15 minutes and when I returned (with the money),I went and got him to bring keys for me to drive it. He says the price is more, now (7800). so I said forget it. Service dept. is horrible. Just as other users have said they try to get to get repairs you dont need. When you do get repairs they are slow, I am late for work right now because they didnt finish my truck by the time they said they would. They try to talk down to you like they are the only ones that know anything about cars. Take your business elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!
There only here to rip off the military. If you need to buy a car go to Nashville or Jenkins and Wynne in Clarksville. All of the other Dealerships in Clarksville are a Joke.
