History Established in 1916. In 1916, Russian immigrant and tailor, William Gallenson, and one of his uncles, William Paver, started Gallenson's as a tailor shop at 128 Regent Street in Salt Lake City. In 1925 the tailor shop was turned into a gun store and pawn shop. In 1930 the shop moved across from the Capitol Theater, to West 200 South. A very big store. But there are plenty of helpful people who know their stuff.
Gallensons carries numerous AR15 components such as CAA and Mako/Fab Defense. I would have given them 5 stars if their AR15 area was more organized and prices were a little lower... Staff was friendly, ammo was diverse and abundant, they carry all the big names in Pistols: Sig Sauer, Beretta, Walther, S&W, Ruger... We'll visit again I'm sure.
I've bought several firearms from gallensons and I leave impressed by this place every time. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly about everything. It's a one stop shop for all of your gun needs.
