History Established in 1916. In 1916, Russian immigrant and tailor, William Gallenson, and one of his uncles, William Paver, started Gallenson's as a tailor shop at 128 Regent Street in Salt Lake City. In 1925 the tailor shop was turned into a gun store and pawn shop. In 1930 the shop moved across from the Capitol Theater, to West 200 South. Great place with a wide selection of guns*ammo*!!!
Probably the greatest gun store that has ever existed on this planet or in the universe. Reloading supplies are cheaper than Cabelas, staff are the nicest friendliest people you'll ever meet, and the management and ownership are top notch. If you get a chance to visit gallenson's do it, there's a reason they've been open for more than a hundred years.
