Not worth the hype... – While the prices are reasonable (but by no means cheap!!), I got a mediocre haircut (after which I was back to pulling everything into a ponytail after a week) and highlights that were too light & turned orange very soon. I had to flee back to my out-of-town stylist. The decor is sparse-to non-existent.
Lucky Chance – I was in desperate need of a haircut and new style....armed with several pictures and a vague idea if any of these layered, somewhat edgy styles would work on my fine hair I made an appointment with Debra based on the reviews on Citysearch. Man, am I glad I took a chance and tried this salon out! Debra immediately went over the pictures in detail with me and began working magic with her scissors, blow dryer and flat iron. Excellent Stylist – Cecilia did a wonderful job with my hair color. She was able to make it come out perfect even though I had done my own highlights like 4 times in the past summer. I will definitly be making this place my regular spot.
Not bad – My gf suggested this place and I thought I'd try it out. Ceceila began on time, made suggestions was really easy going. But she didn't do anything really different w/ my hair that I haven't had already except for straightening it and I didn't know I was goin to have to pay for that additional service!
Okay, but.... – Wow, these guys must have all of their friends load up the reviews. I went in for a cut, and it was okay, but definitely nothing special. It is a little less expensive than some of the salons around Union Square, so perhaps you save some money. I just don't understand the nearly perfect rating.
Needle in a haystack! – Of course I found the salon wonderful, and my stylist extremely attentive and great at their work. But what I loved most is the product line they carry. Originally from Manila, I relocated to Germany, where, I found the best hair products ever, Wella. I know here in the States people think of Wella as that brand they can buy at Sally's, but in Europe they have a much more superior line, and G-Squared carries it! Awesome Place – I just moved to San Francisco and decided to give G-Squared a try based on my co-workers recommendation. The stylist here are very skilled and friendly and I loved my first haircut. What I also liked was the pleasant atmosphere and no attitude vibe. The price is perfect.
Yay, haircut/highlights! – I just went to the salon for the first time, and couldn't be happier with my cut and highlights - Debra was fantastic, and I'll definitely be going back. The woman next to me got a great hairdo, too.
