Best happy hour ever! Top shelf $3 martinis! – New sushi chef is awesome. I came here for one of the art receptions they have on first Saturdays and I'm there everyday for the $3 martini happy hour (I love you, mangopassiontini!) If you do lunch do the sushi bar so you can talk to the chefs. The only place to sit for dinner is the fluffy lounge couches, so you can sit back and check out the crazy drinks they mix up at the bar and play the "mango soju" drinking game with the regulars. A Nice Place to eat Sushi – There are a huge amount of Sushi places in center city these days - Fuji Mountain, however, represents the higher class of sushi dining experiences. This does come at a price. I have not seen customer service drop myself, as some other reviews have stated. However if it has, it really would be a great shame as this establishment has a very nice atmosphere and top-notch sushi. I live at NE philadelphia and once again I learned it the hard way, my friend wanted to go to newly opened sushi place in 15th street and once again freshness was the isseue, sushi was not up to level of expectation. Following week we went to our favorite spot "fuji" where we found what we once missed FRESHNESS.
very good time – I went to fuji japanese restaurant with 4 of my other friends and was expecting just another japanese dinner, instead i had great sushi helped by kimono waitress and learned many new items i never knew. I had great time, great sushi and wonderful experience at fuji mountain.
fresh sushi – it was my first time at fuji mountain and now it will be my only sushi place i'll go from now on, all the sushi and sashimi was so fresh and good i was starting to belive i was decived in other restaurants i was going. manager hooked me up with sushi bar omakase which comes with blue fin o-toro, pink snapper from japan and tuna tataki with special sauce was something i never had in this area. Excellent and outstanding!
real tuna/real deal – i read review about 'blue fin sampler" and i was glad that i went to have my sampler at fuji, like the review it was best tuna i had in years. I was very impressed with quality sushi they had. also recomend setting at sushi bar and taste carimari salad they sample for sushi bar customers, it was grate and was best sushi with best value in town anywhere.
Best place – My friend and I just went there for late night sushi and fell in love. The food was amazing, the prices were pretty great, and the ambience of the 2nd floor was great. It was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!
blue fin toro sampler – My name is joe and i had one of best tuna i ever tasted in years since my family was in japan for few years due to fathers job, at fuji i had sampler that was the taste of tuna that i had in japan, also the o-toro i had was the best i had in state ever. price for the sampler only 12 for sushi sashimi and maki, at morimotos may be 50 bucks? Incredible sushi and price, go check it out.........
Outstanding! – As always Fuji Mountain exceeds it standards for me. I absolutely love it there, I have turned at least 7 of my friends on to sushi/sashimi there, and plan on turning many more on to it. The service is always great, and the sushi is usually better than some of the better known places in town. Great job Fuji Mountain, I look forwad to coming back,
