About this business

Frontera Grill is the sister establishment of the more well known, Topolobampo next door. Both restaurants are from the celebrated Chef Rick Bayless, however this spot focuses more on casual dining. On weekends, Frontera is always packed, but if you are lucky, you can grab a small stool at the bar with drinks and appetizers before the hostess finds your table. Basic margaritas are quite pricey, but one usually packs enough top shelf tequila to sate the palate before the food arrives. Some of the options on the menu include e... read more

I was there on Saturday night for dinner. Service was great and management was awesome. Love that they kept checking on us.

I lost my mom 6 months ago from Alzheimer's. She always cook something special for us on our birthdays. My choice was always Mole. My son told me we were going to have my Birthday dinner at Frontera. I ordered the Friday special which had Mole in it. One bite and it made me feel like I was in my mom's kitchen eating her delicious Mole she would make from scratch. The mini Sopes were the bomb!! Great experience!!

Bartender Pearl took very good care of us. Drinks and food were excellent. The steak tacos "al carbon" were tasty. Only thing I would suggest is to include in the dessert the churros from your other restaurant Xoco. We had to go to pick them up to bring into our site. The most amazing churros!

Great atmosphere and the food was amazing! We had the tacos arabes and the friday night special brisket with black mole sauce. Would definitely recommend this place to our friends. One word of advise, come early or you'll have to wait for awhile, they don't take reservations.

The food was so so. Not my cup of tea. Service was great! The waiter was really courteous and friendly. Chips and guacamole were really good.
